Nonsense Poems - Indian Bus Ride

This bus is a cup,

Brimming with creatures,

Big nose, small toes,

And other amusing features.

From here to there,

To every type of where,

Jump on, jump in,

Inhale the stink.

Enjoy the view,

And mind your head,

Dhoomrapaan

Manna hai.

If there’s no place,

You’ll have to sit inside,

Don’t mind that stench,

Hygiene just died.

And finally,

When you’re settled in,

You’ll hear the conductor say,

Aap ka stop aa gaya hai.

Untitled.

Your lips are sealing,

And you’re slowly feeling,

Feeling, feeling,

Detached.

Your scars were healing,

Till you felt like screaming,

Screaming, screaming,

Through them.

You’re slowly hating,

And contemplating,

The realism in the reality,

Of contentment.

You’re tired of playing,

And persistently swaying,

Swaying, swaying,

Mentally.

Your mental sway,

Has no cadence.

You cannot sense,

What you are feeling.

You’re settling,

Into the numb.

You find veracity in now.

UpsidedownsideuP

Reject, redial,
The phone line’s fragile
Under the pressure
Of restless words
Lost inner connection
Between thoughts,
Between dealings
And misleading
Fast forwarded years,
Pause, stop, play
Eject.
End of one phase,
And the beginning of another,
That begins at the end,
Of relations with another
Who you smother
With enough to burst the ego
The super large ego
Bursting at the seams
Step out, step down,
Cold, shudder,
Give up, give away,
Everything
Groan, moan, sigh
Hopeless hoping
Escaping to imprisonment
Of body mind soul
The works, the whole
Losing control
Forward spiral
Swivel backwards side
Collide
White, pure white chaos.

Painting.

Slice of a tree bark,

Carpentered curved and slim,

Tinted viridian,

And crowned with Sable lips

Softly kisses the hues,

Embracing an assortment of shades,

And when it speaks,

It narrates a story,

A story of emotions,

Indescribable by words,

On to a bare, inviting canvas,

Creating long lasting impressions,

Pouring spirit into its blankness,

Painting on diverse expressions

Filling it with a soul,

A reason for existence

The static between,

Itself and the other,

Bears a relationship unique,

One beyond understanding,

One not worth wanting to decipher

In fear of losing it’s charm

And it is him, who controls,

The destiny of the two,

It is him, who’s engulfed

In their supernatural liaison

When he brings the two together,

Attempting to create what no other

Can create for him

A message to an audience

A message for himself

The hidden truth, the broken heart, the raging id,

Anything, everything

‘I paint with my heart’, says he,

‘Not with my hands.’

Naïve

One step two,
I fell for you,
tripped,
it doesn't hurt just yet.
Three step four,
flat on the floor,
leave me breathless,
wanting more.
Five step six,
your magic tricks,
mesmerize,
hypnotize me.
Six step seven,
straight to eleven,
impatience was never a virtue was it?
Enchanted,
mystified,
half a drop of terrified,
Allurement,
enticement,
a bottle of excitement,
Fascinated by your hidden talents,
Captivated by your charm.
Four sunsets,
I forget,
But I can't stop what I'm feeling.
Don't stop what I'm feeling.

Monochrome identities
Frozen in motion
Intoxicated

I freeze
In my infatuation
You’re spotted

They all sit down
You stand out
Glowing

I follow you
With my eyes
Unknowing

My eyes look askance
In attempt
To construe

The magnitude
Of elation
I get from you

Pull you towards me
Breaths distance away
Breathless

My words are skipping
On a hidden rope
As they confess

I’m captivated
Much fascinated
By you

I wish to be
The solo orbit
That leads to you.

Elegant Confusion

Needles and thread,
The unspoken, the unsaid.
Patch work and mud,
Radiant smiles and blood.
Ink-less, blank page,
Memories wrinkle with age,
The red red nail varnish
And the black sky.

Five page long text,
All of them, and then the rest,
Spotlights and clicks,
And life's supernatural tricks.
One step closer to me,
One heart skips a beat.
The soft pink innocence
And purple confusion.

One step away,
Winter killed day,
Empty tissue box,
With it’s very own lock,
A never-ending playlist,
Burnt letter, broken promise.
Long drives and sunrise,
And the heartless cries.
One whisper, hush
A senseless touch.
So different, so natural, so real,
So confusing.

What goes around,
Makes its way through,
Then lifts itself,
Comes back to haunt you,
Like the cerulean star,
And the black black canvas,
The old pictures and the lies,
The semi-broken sky,
The piano in the jewelry box
And words that make no sense.
No sense, illogical, words dipped in alcohol,
Like yours,
Revenge,
You promised me,
And we danced,
Danced and got lost in this elegant confusion.
You confuse me.
